Candidates for Councillor Ward 6 will be on hand to answer questions from residents and association members.

People with disabilities have a right to participate in the democratic process according to Charter of Rights. Discrimination based on disability is illegal. Yesterday’s debate made no allowances for accessibility. I am seeking legal advice on how to proceed
We have been in touch with Ms. Apitius. The MRA and the HBSCA have unreservedly apologized to her and to any others for not seeking an alternative meeting space that would have been wheelchair accessible. Ms. Apitius has graciously accepted our apology. We would like to assure attendees that all future public meetings will be accessible.
