Amos Waites Park Community Consultation Meeting (Round 2)

When: THIS MONDAY, November 18th, 7 – 8:30pm
Where: Mimico Centennial Library
City Parks Staff and the Landscape Architecture Consultant will be presenting the Overall Conceptual Design and Design Concept for 2014 – Phase 1 construction for the Amos Waites Park Redevelopment for your review and comment.

Do we need an off-leash dog run in Mimico?

A Mimico Dog Owners Association Facebook Group has been created to assess and address the need for an off-leash dog run or park within our neighbourhood. The nearest off-leash (Humber Bay West) is 3km away, a 45+ minute walk. Please invite your local dog-owning friends to join this group for further discussion:

Update on ML Ready Mix

MRA has submitted two letters to the City with regards to ML Ready Mix, operating on Judson Street.  The first letter was to ask the City to deny the legalization of of buildings on their site (they built several buildings with no permits or applications to the City).  Second letter was to deny them an exception for a fence on their other  Judson Street property. Wesley Mimico United Church Update

Etobicoke York Community Council and Toronto City Council have recommended Heritage Designation of the building. Read our recent letter to Mimico Residents.

Community Christmas Carol Concert and sing-a-long featuring Mimico Childrens Choir, Mimico Presbyterian Church Choir, and Mimico Baptist Church Youth Group. All welcome – free will offering.
