Eastbourne Crescent Street Sale and Bake Sale

Date: Saturday, May 13

Time: 8AM

Location: Eastbourne Crescent (Royal York and Lake Shore)

Join the residents of Eastbourne Crescent (Royal York & Lake Shore) for their 31st annual street sale where there will be lots of books, dishware, toys, clothing, furniture, trinkets and more! LAMP Health and Wellness Fair, Open House, Garage Sale

Blue Goose Redevelopment Community Consultation

Date: Wednesday, May 17

Time: 6:30-8:30 PM

Location: St. Leo Catholic School, 165 Stanley Ave

City planning staff to host a community consultation meeting to discuss the proposed Blue Goose redevelopment.

From InsideToronto.com, “If ultimately approved, the redevelopment of the site would include the construction of a fourth-storey and an east-side addition, a new microbrewery in the basement, a renovated restaurant on the ground level, and a total of 18 new rental dwelling units on the upper levels of the building.”

Mimico Tulip Festival

Date: Tuesday, May 30th

Time: 4:00-8:00 PM

Location: Royal York Rd at Evans Ave to Newcastle St

Legislative Page Program Application Period

This unique educational experience is open to all Ontario students enrolled in grades 7 or 8. The current recruitment cycle/application period began on April 15th and will run to June 15th, 2017.

Currently, one of Mimico’s John English students is a legislative page. Ontario Legislative Pages have the opportunity to meet parliamentary and political figures, learn first-hand how Ontario’s Parliament works, and make new friendships with other students from across Ontario.
