27th Annual Etobicoke Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade

Date: Saturday, December 2nd
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Lakeshore Blvd W from Dwight to Long Branch

Skate with Santa

Date: Saturday, December 2nd
Time: 12:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Colonel Samuel Smith Skating Trail

After the Parade is over, head to Colonel Sam Smith Skating Trail for more Holiday fun.  Skating with Santa’s Elves, hot chocolate, music, games, and a silent auction will all be waiting for you.  Capture your free picture with Santa, and Parking is free.

Mimico-by-the-Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony

Date: Sunday, December 3
Time: 4:30 – 6:00 PM
Location: Mimico Square, Lakeshore Blvd W and Mimico Ave

Join your neighbours at the 12th Annual Mimico by the Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be live music including the Mimico Childrens Choir, free hot chocolate and advent calendars and best of all a visit from Santa himself!  Dress warm and bring a hand made decoration to hang from the tree.

39 Newcastle Community Consultation

Date: Tuesday, December 5th
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: St. Leo Catholic School (165 Stanley Avenue)

Just over one year ago, Dunpar Homes submitted an application seeking rezoning for a two tower residential development adjacent to the Mimico GO Station.  The original application called for two residential towers of 28 and 30 storeys containing 606 residential units.  Dunpar have recently returned with a revised application, now seeking three residential towers of 22, 30, and 36 storeys with a total of 833 residential units.

Planning staff have responded to the new application with a Refusal Report.

Strange Journey

Date: Saturday, December 9
Time: Show starts at 2PM
Location: Mimico Centennial Library

Come join us at the library for a Strange Journey. It’s a free show about the adventures of a shy girl trying to get home after being abducted by aliens. It features performances and animated cartoons by the local children involved in this story’s creation. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!

Christmas In Mimico Concert

Date: Sunday, December 10th
Time: 3:30 PM
Location: Mimico Presbyterian Church, 119 Mimico Ave

Featuring Mimico Children’s Choir, Local Vocals women’s choir, sing-along carols, solos, duets and more – it’s a wonderful way to ring in the Christmas season with your family and friends.

Tickets are $10 each ($12 at the door), Children 3 and under are free. Tickets are now available and can be purchased online through Eventbrite:

Humber Bay Park East Changes

Earlier this month the city shared the latest plans for changes coming to Humber Bay Park East.  Here are the Presentation Panels.
