Winter in Mimico
Did you spot the ice fishing hut in the bay last weekend? What a winter. Stay warm and stay safe.

This newsletter includes a few time-sensitive updates, followed by reminders & events at the end.

Please join us on March 11th, 2026, 7-9 pm at Mimico Centennial Library for our Annual General Meeting.
Members in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the AGM will elect a President and the Board of Directors (5–13 members, odd number), in accordance with the MRA by-laws.
Become a member soon in time for the voting! See here.
Zoning Implementation
The Province approved a modified P/MTSA policy for 150 P/MTSAs in August 2025, and the City was required to develop a plan to implement zoning for these. See details here.
From now until February 12th, 2026, the City of Toronto is hosting a series of public meetings about updating zoning permissions around subway, GO and LRT stations and our Mimico GO Station is included, see above.
The comments that the City receives will inform the recommended zoning by-law amendments that staff will bring to the Planning and Housing Committee in the spring of 2026. The Etobicoke Open house already happened but you might want to attend the one at City Hall:
Date: February 12, 2026
Time: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2
Format: In-person presentation followed by a town hall discussion.
