Register for your FREE Tree Today

We are pleased to announce that with the support of Lakeshore Arts we have been approved by Every Tree Counts to host a Tree For Me event. The Tree for Me program offers free trees to Toronto residents to support the City’s 40 percent tree canopy cover target.

Your tree will be distributed by the MRA on Oct 14th from 10:30am – 12:30pm at Mimico Square.

SLOW for Mimico – A Family Traffic Safety Awareness Event

Date: Sat, Sept 15th
Time: 12:00 – 4:00PM
Location:  55 Station Rd (the “Library” Park)

Several members of the community have been working together to bring awareness and resolution to the ongoing traffic safety issues in Mimico.  This family event is aimed at education on traffic safety and keeping our streets safer as a community.  Event will include, live performances, music, arts&crafts, BBQ, sweet treats beverages and raffle.  For additional info and to RSVP go to Slow For Mimico 2018 on Facebook

Leashes by the Lake – Pet Fest, Walk-a-thon

Date: Sat, Sept 22
Time: 11:00 – 3:00 PM
Location: Amos Waites Park

It’s time again for the Etobicoke Humane Society’s annual “Leashes by the Park” Walk-a-thon and Pet Fest to raise much needed funds for EHS’s little shelter with a big heart. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the animals in EHS’s care.

Etobicoke Lakeshore Culture Days

Date: Friday September 28, 29, 30

Culture Days is a collaborative Canada-wide movement raising awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. The Etobicoke Lakeshore Culture Days Festival is co-produced by Lakeshore Arts and Humber College with supporting partners: City of Toronto’s Assembly Hall, Long Branch BIA, Mimico by the Lake BIA and Placebo Space.  The weekend features free, hands-on, interactive activities that give participants a “behind-the-scenes” look into the arts and cultural base of the local community.

Humber Bay Shores Farmers Market

Date: Saturdays May 26 to October 6

Location: Humber Bay Park West

The Humber Bay Shores Condominium Association sponsored Farmers Market is still on ‘til Thanksgiving weekend.  Local Farmers from Ontario are featuring fresh produce, meat, herbs, cheeses, preserves and much more.
