Relocation of Mimico Go Station Update
As mentioned in our April Newsletter, there was a motion made to the Planning and Growth Management Committee to study relocation of the Mimico Go Station. The MRA submitted a letter opposing relocation of our GO station.
This Agenda Item was considered at the May 16 meeting Planning and Growth Management Committee. According to Councillor Grimes’ office: “The report which came back to Planning and Growth recommended addressing it as part of the ongoing Mimico / Humber Bay Shores planning and traffic studies. It also notes that GO Transit has not indicated any desire or interest in relocation nor was the Park Lawn Rd area identified as a future mobility hub in the Big Move plan. The report was received for information meaning that no further action will come directly from the item.”
