Etobicoke Public Consultation re: Made-for-Toronto Local Appeal Body

Date: Tuesday, February 18, 2014
Time: 6:45pm – 9:00pm
Location: Etobicoke Civic Centre, Meeting Rooms 1 & 2

The Province of Ontario granted the City of Toronto the power to establish a Local Appeal Body (LAB) to hear appeals of Committee of Adjustment decisions (both minor variances and consents). The City Planning division is launching “Made-for-Toronto Local Appeal Body” public consultations around the city with the express purpose of initiating and facilitating public dialogue around this matter.
The LAB would alter the relationship that a community currently has with the OMB. We feel that this could be a good step forward in local planning and development.
The first consultation meeting is in Etobicoke – next Tuesday, February 18th starting at 6:45pm at Etobicoke Civic Centre.
