        1. Nominated CLC (3 residents + 2 MRA) 
        2. Letter Draft for September Board Meeting. ✅
      2. TTCriders event happened at Mimico Club House: Councillor Morley and Matt Cook (Development) participated; Guy will report; Jim, Andrew & Guy attended

      1. Had meeting with Councillor Morley office Matt Cook on August 13 and he sent us many links to access reports and documents relevant for data gathering

    6. Miles Road End Parkette

      2. Residents have raised 4,400 of the 6,000 needed for the City to install a Historic Plaque. Slideshow by resident
      3. Etobicoke Historical Society supports the idea ask for donations as part of the Historic Mimico Walks they have been doing with us. The upcoming walk(s) on Sept 19 will be about Mr. Miles and residents have donated material we can host on our website to show how that parkette was turned into a new accessible place for residents to be close to the lake. We asked for participation before. 
    7. Election Townhall

        2. Can we offer a budget? Up to $250? Board Approved!

      1. Will need to request an incident report about diesel spill. MS to request

      1. 60 Birmingham got a new tenant with federal funding promising close to 200 tech jobs – A partner is checking on environmental impact on the site.

      1. Flood Protection Workshop on October 21 @ Mimico Library
  1. 2 Students of Dr. McElhinny’s course “Advocating Environment and Climate Justice (Fall 2026)” applied for this coming semester to do a project with us. I invited the students to meet in Mimico soon to make a plan. Once I know their availability, I will let you know. 
  2. National Drive Electric Month Sep 11-Oct 12, 2026 #2026NDEM We plan to have a discussion with those with interest in owning Electric Vehicles.
