– Amos Waites + 2405-2411 Lakeshore Blvd W – is the MRA a party or participant?
– MRA is seeking participant status however it is at the discretion of the case manager since the deadline is past. 
– Councillor Morleys office has opposed development and understands MRA’s issues 
– 2+4 Superior need to reveal their intention and how the two developments will interact.
Update on developments
– Mimico 2nd most dev applications in city
– Regular meetings scheduled with Councillor Morley’s office 
– Updates on our newsletter Are we involved at all in increasing the police presence in Mimico?  
– Etobicoke Creek oil spill – still a concern and residue still coming out especially after rainfalls
– This could be something that MRA focuses on moving forward – protecting our waterways 
– Does MRA have a definition of affordable housing and does it differ from the city/developers (a quarter of the housing provided in Paris is affordable)
– Mimico Go Station is not accessible and is deteriorating Metrolinx is proceeding with accessibility despite partnership issues with Vandyk 
– To address crime we need to look at infrastructure and how to keep people in place

– Job creation is a goal, especially manufacturing which requires more housing and a diversity of housing. 
– Healthcare is critical.  
– New investment in Queensway healthcare
– Hybrid healthcare through virtual and in person 
– Community Survey showed crime is the #1 concern in community.
– Bail reform is a new initiate with changes to the criminal code 
– Investing $46M to purchase helicopters to monitor and respond to crime
– Encouraging new recruits by removing enrollment fees and post-secondary degree prerequisite
– Vehicle theft – encouraged feds to give police authority to monitor shipping portsIllegal guns are often the problems in violence. 
– Emphasis on more control and regulations at the boarder. 
– Clare’s Law (motion not law) – gives individuals the right to know if they are engaged in partner violence Transit Parklawn Go – required prior to building any residential. 
– Right now plans are with the City of Toronto for approval
– Mimico Go – accessibility and parking is key. 
– Falls under two ministries (transportation and infrastructure) 
– Longbranch Go – accessibility and parking are key. 
– Design is complete however it is proposing less parking so comments have been sent back. 
– Single fare ttc and Go – implemented for entire GTA Affordability Gas tax cut extended

– Parklawn Go Update
– No residential construction until go station is completed.
– MPP wrote letter to City to expedite project 
– Mimico Go Station problem – accessibility aspect is essential Lakeshore is at capacity.
– Local roads are city jurisdiction Local roads getting worse as development continues and Gardiner gets busy.
– Gardiner – is the province taking ownership of this? 
– Province is taking over Gardiner and DVP but not yet Reason is that city was threatening to shut them down and/or toll them Maintenance needs to be done despite disruption. 
– Bill 23 relates to 2405-2411 Lakeshore Blvd OLT is independent from the government. 
– City is the government representation Rent geared to income and coop housing DC’s are lowered to 25% or more Urgent care extended hours?
– Queensway Health Centre is finally open and will be open 3pm-9pm.
– Premiere rescinding MZOs if construction does not start
– MPP is encouraged to support development
